Veteran Houston criminal defense lawyer Neal Davis has received two honors which were voted by his peers and are included in the 26th edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Davis was honored both for his work in Criminal Defense: General Practice and for his work in Criminal Defense: White Collar.
Phillip S. Greer, CEO of Best Lawyers, congratulated Davis on the honors, while noting that “a listing in our publication signals not only legal expertise, but also ethics and professionalism of the highest caliber.”
For several years now, Davis has been honored by this group. Previously, he was recognized for his work defending persons in matters of white collar crime. This is the first time Neal has simultaneously been honored for handling criminal defense as a general practice.

“Just a few lawyers are chosen for either list,” Davis said. “And an even smaller number of lawyers earn both a listing in The Best Lawyers in America (2015-2019) and an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell (2015). It’s a huge big deal.”
Davis Also a ‘Super Lawyer’
Davis is also considered a Super Lawyer (2011-2019) by Super Lawyers, a third-party legal ratings service which selects top lawyers with a high level of practice excellence, peer recognition and professional achievement. He has been named a Super Lawyer every year since becoming eligible for that honor in 2011.
